Using a palette knife has given me a new language to express how I interpret the landscape. It allows me to add more structure and form to create flat planes within the picture surface, thereby offering a different quality. By pushing and scraping paint, the surface comes more alive with feeling. This invigorates my senses with a more defined belonging and fulfilment.

Through my passion for the South West coast, I am hoping to bring the viewer on a journey of renewal, visiting feelings and experiences that may have been dulled by everyday life. Feel the sand between your toes or the coolness of the ebbing tide around your feet. There is something about the Margaret River and Yallingup region that constantly draws me to its etherial quality.
